The Society of American Florists (SAF) hosted its 43rd annual Congressional Action Days (CAD) on March 20-21, 2023 in Washington, DC. The event attracted more than 100 members of the floral industry from across the country, who met with their lawmakers and educated them on the issues that affect their businesses and the industry as a whole.

CAD was a two-day event that included an all-industry trends discussion and lunch, an issues briefing and advocacy training session, a congressional reception, and a day of visits to Capitol Hill offices. Participants learned how to talk about the key

TOKYO, Japan: Suntory Flowers has named Yasunori Yomo president, effective April 1. He succeeds Taizo Chinju, who has been promoted to chairman. Yomo began his career as a breeder when he was assigned to Suntory’s flower business division in 1995.

Prior to that, he was a wine engineer at Suntory’s Yamanashi Winery. He graduated from Kyoto University with a master’s degree in agricultural science and was part of the pomology faculty, focused on fruit. More recently, he directed research, development and production and then transferred over to the business side, managing Suntory Flowers’

Floriexpo, the largest high-volume B2B floral exposition in North America on Thursday announced exciting additions to its already robust Advisory Board.
