The 2025 New York Produce Show trade show kicked off at the Javits Center the morning of Dec. 3 and traffic remained strong throughout the day. The show offered exhibitors and attendees a unique convergence of networking, education and commerce in one of the world’s most dynamic cities. Attendees found more than 600 exhibiting companies, featuring a show floor full of suppliers, growers, shippers, importers, distributors and service providers.

The Western Growers Association gathered at the Hotel del Coronado this year for its 99th annual meeting, filling the sun-washed halls with the familiar hum of growers, shippers and innovators comparing notes on an industry that never stops moving. Over four days, leaders dug into the issues facing farmers in the West — AI, innovation and the economy — a reminder that even in a risk filled business like agriculture, gathering together at events such as this bring encouragement and clarity to the road ahead.

Few things taste better after 26.2 miles than ice-cold watermelon. That’s why the National Watermelon Promotion Board was proud to be back at the Marine Corps Marathon Finish Festival, giving away 10 pallets of fresh watermelon to thousands of runners from all 50 states and internationally. This year’s race was especially meaningful as the Marine Corps Marathon celebrated its 50th anniversary, and once again, it was a sold-out event.

Amy Trask, former CEO of the NFL’s Raiders and current CBS Sports analyst, was the keynote speaker at the International Fresh Produce Association's Women's Fresh Perspectives Breakfast, held Saturday, Oct. 18, during the Global Produce & Floral Show in Anaheim, CA. Trask was the NFL’s first female front office executive. She provided insights on how to succeed in a male-dominated business.

EFI — along with sponsors Windset Farms, GoodFarms and Stemilt Growers — hosted an event to celebrate more than 30 supplier companies that reached gold-star status in the Ethical Charter Implementation Program online LAB platform. Representatives from Costco, Kroger, Sam's and Walmart were in attendance to applaud the leadership shown by these companies in the short time since new engagement criteria were introduced to the ECIP program in July. 

ANAHEIM, CA — Following the close of the IFPA Global Produce & Floral Show, OSMG America hosted a reception for its members and clients at the Sheraton Park Hotel at the Anaheim Resort, here.
