T&G Global named Doug Bygrave as its new chief financial officer, effective March 1. Bygrave will succeed Bastian von Streit, who is returning home to Germany to take up the position of chief financial officer global produce with BayWa AG.

Currently company secretary, with additional responsibility for risk and treasury, Bygrave has been with T&G for over 24 years. In this time, he has held senior finance business roles across the entire business and also run shared services.

Police detectives in Gwinnett County, GA, arrested a 19-year-old man after he scammed over $980,000 from Kroger during a two-week time period. Tre Brown was arrested after he created false returns at the Kroger where he was employed between December and January.

Detectives believe that Brown was able to create over 40 returns for non-existent items and put them on several credit cards.  The returns ranged in price from $75 to over $87,000.  In total, he was able to steal over $980,000.  Corporate employees from Kroger noticed the fraudulent transactions and contacted the police department.

Tyler Cobb has been hired as the director of grower relations and field sourcing for McDaniel Fruit Co., home of Linda Vista brand fresh produce.

Cobb most recently served in a similar role for Del Monte and has extensive roots in the California avocado industry, having served two terms on the California Avocado Commission as well as having served on the Hass Avocado Board.
