The Southeast Produce Council is currently accepting nominations for its Next Generation Award. The deadline to submit nominations is 5 p.m. Eastern time Friday, July 16.

Nominations will only be accepted for SEPC members 39 years or younger who have been employed in the produce industry for at least four years and have made a significant contribution to the industry.

To qualify for this award, members must also be in "good standing" with the SEPC through regular attendance and contributions to the council. SPEC member companies who are in "good standing" may nominate an employee who is not

The 2021 Walla Walla Sweet Onion season is almost here! Keystone Fruit Marketing, a division of Progressive Produce, will start packing their famously sweet Walla Walla River Sweet Onions around June 15 and run until the third week in August.

“We had a mild winter and excellent growing conditions, so we expect a bigger crop than 2020 with good yields,” said Dan Borer, sales manager.
