The U.S. Department of Agriculture has filed an administrative complaint against All Fresh Distributors LLC for alleged violations of the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act. The company, operating from Miami, allegedly failed to make payment promptly to four produce sellers in the amount of $339,601 from September 2018 through March 2020.

All Fresh will have an opportunity to request a hearing. Should USDA find that the company committed repeated and flagrant violations, it would be barred from the produce industry as a licensee for three years, or two years with the posting of a USDA

More than 1,000 new ALDI stores have opened throughout America over the past decade. In keeping with its aggressive growth, ALDI plans to open approximately 150 new stores and remains on track to become the third-largest U.S. grocery retailer by store count by the end of this year.

Save A Lot, one of the largest discount grocery chains in the U.S., has named Leon Bergmann as its new CEO. He will succeed interim CEO Craig Herkert, who will work to ensure a smooth transition in the coming weeks before Bergmann assumes the role in March.
