José Antonio Gómez Bazan, who has served as CEO of Camposol since September 2021, has resigned from the Lima-based multinational company, effective Monday, June 3.

Samuel Dyer Coriat, current chairman of Camposol's board of directors, will assume the executive chairmanship of the board of directors, while Ricardo Naranjo, current CFO of the company, will assume the role of CEO on an interim basis.

“We have every confidence in [Naranjo’s] ability to lead the company through this transition and maintain our ongoing commitment to efficiency and excellence,” Camposol said in a statement.

After an extensive international search, Zespri has appointed Jason Te Brake as CEO of Zespri. Te Brake is currently Zespri’s chief operating officer and will succeed outgoing CEO Daniel Mathieson who is leaving Zespri to join Driscoll’s, effective July 1.

After nearly five decades of dedicated service in the produce industry, Woody Dunkum bids farewell to ADS Management and his illustrious career, excitedly embracing a new chapter of leisure and adventure in retirement.

Dunkum wore an abundance of hats throughout his produce career. His journey began with Purity Supreme Supermarkets in Massachusetts, spending 12 years working his way up to head produce buyer and sales manager. He then joined ADS Management, a family of produce companies that includes Hapco Farms, ADS, Freshouse and MR Farms, all owned by Andy Pollak.

Damian Russo, the longtime president of Russo Farms, who helped modernize the company, died on May 12 after a long battle with cancer. He was 64.

Mr. Russo was born Sept. 18, 1959, to the late Pasquale (Charlie) and Mary (DeMaria) Russo. After graduating from Villanova University, he later went to work at Russo Farms, which was founded about 104 years ago.

Described by his son, Tom, as “the chief cook and bottle washer at Russo Farms,” Mr. Russo became the business’ president in 1992 when his father and company founder, Pasquale Russo, died.

US Foods Holding Corp. Board Chair Robert (Bob) Dutkowsky unexpectedly died yesterday in his home in Florida at the age of 69. Mr. Dutkowsky joined the US Foods Board in January 2017 and served as board chair for the company since February 2022, including executive chairman from May 2022 to January 2023.

The US Foods board has appointed David Tehle as board chair effective immediately.
