In Bloom, Texas International Produce Association’s Women in Produce, announced its first annual awards program celebrating women in the produce industry. The awards will be presented at the inaugural ceremony, In Bloom: TIPA Women Honoring Their Own on Feb. 27 in McAllen, TX.

Nominations are now open for two prestigious awards, in addition to a posthumous award that has already been selected by the committee:

Baloian Farms has named Magatte Gueye as its chief financial officer at its Fresno, CA, headquarters. Gueye joined Baloian Farms as CFO on Dec. 9, 2024, succeeding David Cuadros, who served as CFO for 30 years.

Tops Friendly Markets has promoted John McCaffrey, a 44-year grocery industry veteran, to the role of senior vice president of operations. McCaffrey succeeds Mike Patti, who will be retiring after 52 years of service to the retailer.

The National Mango Board launched its search for nominees to fill six open board member positions for the term of 2026-28. The board's primary goal is to raise awareness and drive the consumption of fresh mangos in the United States while educating consumers about the culture, flavor and nutritional benefits of this versatile super fruit.
