Chestnut Hill Farms announced Bill Sheridan, a valued member of its Advisory Board, died on May 2.
 
Mr. Sheridan was much more than a dedicated leader in the produce industry—he was a trusted mentor, advisor, and friend to many. His career, which spanned over 40 years, had an indelible impact on the banana and pineapple industries. 
 
Mr. Sheridan’s work with Chestnut Hill Farms, as well as his tenure with Chiquita, Del Monte, Banacol Marketing, and One Banana, helped shape partnerships and improve the way the industry connects with customers and suppliers across the globe.

Mark Garcia has been named the vice president and general manager of Your Way*Fresh, a leading provider of fresh-cut fruits, vegetables and grab-and-go solutions for the foodservice industry.

A seasoned leader with more than 20 years of experience in the foodservice and fresh produce industry, Garcia brings a unique blend of culinary expertise, brand-building success and strategic sales leadership to the role. Tops Friendly Markets has promoted Stanley Alexander to the position of grocery general manager. He previously held the title of grocery supervisor, a role he held for four-and-a-half years.

In his new role, Alexander will be responsible for all grocery department functions to include shipping, receiving, auditing, safety, sanitation and KPI metrics. Alexander joined Tops in 2020 as a grocery supervisor. He resides in Batavia, NY, with his wife, Katie, and their five children.
