Franz Warren De Klotz, a fresh produce industry veteran and an integral part of the Southern California produce industry, died last month. He was 60.

Mr. De Klotz spent the last four decades bringing his passion, expertise and commitment to multiple food and agriculture companies.

Mr. De Klotz was born April 14, 1961, in Portland, OR, to Robert and Lila De Klotz. United Natural Foods Inc. has appointed Mark Bushway as its new chief supply chain officer effective Jan. 3. Bushway, who currently serves as president of UNFI’s Atlantic Region, will take on leadership of the company’s fulfillment network across North America, consisting of 56 distributions centers serving more than 30,000 customer locations.

Bushway’s immediate focus will be on UNFI's existing fulfillment network strategy, while continuing to build out cross-selling capabilities, identifying distribution center expansions and accelerating network optimization and automation initiatives. He
