Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers announced the appointment of Evan Smith as its sustainable infrastructure development lead, effective immediately.

Smith brings academic training and policy experience to the role. He holds a master’s degree in international public policy from the Balsillie School of International Affairs at Wilfrid Laurier University, where he participated in the Global Political Economy and STEM for Global Resilience research clusters. He earned an honors bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of New Brunswick.

During a graduate fellowship at the

 Mission Produce Inc., a global leader in sourcing, producing and distributing fresh Hass avocados, announced a planned leadership transition. Co-founder and CEO Steve Barnard will assume the role of executive chairman of the board, and President and Chief Operating Officer John Pawlowski will become CEO, effective at the close of the company’s annual meeting of shareholders in April 2026.

The transition reflects Mission’s long-term succession planning and the depth of its leadership team across retail, wholesale and foodservice channels for avocados and mangos.

The Philadelphia Regional Port Authority announced that CEO and Executive Director Jeff Theobald will retire June 30, 2026, concluding a decade marked by significant growth and modernization at the Port of Philadelphia.

Theobald joined PhilaPort in 2016 and led the organization through a period of expansion that more than doubled cargo volumes, secured more than 180 acres for future development and positioned the port among the fastest-growing gateways on the U.S. East Coast.

Roselli brings over 25 years of experience in the food industry, with a career that has taken him from his start as an in-store produce clerk to serving as a corporate director. Most recently, he spent the past three years at a leading cooperative in the New York metropolitan area as director of produce and floral, where he oversaw category leadership, merchandising strategies and supplier partnerships.
