Walmart Canada is investing over $500 million this year in its store network, with a focus on refurbishing and refreshing stores in communities across the country.

This is the largest yearly investment in store upgrades Walmart Canada has made as it continues improving the overall customer experience and modernizing the business. The work is expected to create more than 2,000 construction jobs in communities from Prince George, British Columbia to New Minas, Nova Scotia.

Earlier this year Texans were told that their onion marketing order would remain in place at least through this season, but last week the South Texas Onion Committee was surprised with sudden news that the marketing order was immediately being suspended. Now it seems things have changed once again and the USDA will be reinstating both the domestic and international regulations associated with the south Texas onions Federal Marketing Order.

Schnuck Markets Inc. announced plans to bring a new format grocery store to Jasper, IN, in the summer of 2021. The leased 18,000-square-foot Schnucks Fresh store will include a heavy focus on fresh departments such as produce, meat, seafood and bakery. The store will add approximately 30 jobs to the local economy.
