Ahold Delhaize's Giant Food and The Giant Co. have decided to close their centralized e-commerce fulfillment operations in Manassas, VA, and five fulfillment facilities in Pennsylvania.

Giant Food and The Giant Co. will continue to operate these facilities into early next year, with most closures occurring by the end of the first quarter 2026. The decisions to close these facilities were made after carefully considering customer trends and preferences for home delivery, where customers are increasingly expecting fast delivery, more assortment and delivery availability to meet their preferences

During the fall 2025 Check Out Hunger scanning campaign, Wegmans customers raised nearly $3.1 million for hunger relief at the company’s 114 stores.
