Kingston Cos., a leading distributor and marketer of fresh potatoes, onions and sweet pineapples, has climbed the rankings of the Idaho Private 100, a list of the top private companies in the state of Idaho.

Idaho Falls-based Kingston has been included in the top 100 since the list was started by the Idaho Statesman 24 years ago, but this year the company jumped to No. 60 from No. 86, a significant move. It also was recognized as having the highest percentage of revenue growth among those companies included on the list.

Sam's Club, a division of Walmart Inc., plans to open more than 30 new clubs across the U.S. over the next several years. The first location, which is planned in Florida, is slated to open in 2024. In addition to new clubs, the company has a multiple-year plan to invest in and modernize its supply chain through new distribution and fulfillment center locations across the country, including cutting-edge automation.
