Brighter Bites partnered with Lakeview Farms to host Peppers with a Purpose at IDDBA’s 60th trade show to raise funds and awareness for the nonprofit’s mission.

The event included a spinning wheel of different peppers ranging from mild to hot, which each participant had to spin the wheel and take a bite of the pepper selected. The hotter the pepper, the more money raised for Brighter Bites, which totaled $25,000 at the end of the event.

Target plans to roll out a new generative artificial intelligence tool to team members at all of its nearly 2,000 stores by August. The tool, called Store Companion, is a GenAI-powered chatbot designed by Target that can answer on-the-job process questions, coach new team members and support store operations management. Target is currently piloting the tool at about 400 stores, using the teams' feedback to improve the experience ahead of the chainwide rollout.

For many years officials at Nardelli Bros. used its Fresher by Miles slogan to make sure that people in the eastern half of the nation knew they were getting produce from their New Jersey farms much faster than they would from California, other West Coast operations and imports.
