The American Floral Endowment is accepting applications for the James and Helen Phillip Floral Design Scholarship Fund. The application deadline is March 1, 2023. 

Established to honor James and Helen Phillip by their daughter Lee Phillip Bell, the program provides funding through block grants to institutions to distribute to floral design students. Initially funded in 2008, the program leaves a legacy honoring the Phillips that supports the education of students and intends to create a pool of trained workers to fill positions in retail flower shops.

The international meeting of the ornamental plants and landscaping industry in Türkiye, The Flower and Plant Show, will open its doors for the 12th time in Tüyap Feb. 16-18.

Hundreds of products such as different kinds of trees, flowers, indoor and outdoor ornamental plants, seedlings, vertical gardens, fruit seedlings, seeds, decorative landscaping materials, park equipment will be exhibited together at the fair.

FSI members including flower producers, traders, and retailers gathered at IPM Essen for the General Assembly of 2023 on Thursday 26 January. To reflect on the Floriculture Sustainability Initiative’s 2022 achievements and actions to take towards a ‘responsible and transparent supply chain’. Besides the annual measurement of Responsibly Produced & Traded volumes, the members will start measuring and reporting on Carbon Footprinting and Living Wage. The year started off with a concrete action taken by the members: the FSI Code of Conduct was presented and adopted during the General Assembly

Above All Flowers and New Bloom Solutions launched a comprehensive collaborative flower industry calendar of events and conventions, with the participation of more than eight different partners who collaborated on this calendar in favor of the flower industry.
